Will the Real Fred Sanford Please Do Something? was the 58th episode of Sanford and Son. Also the 20th episode of the series' third season, it first aired February 22, 1974.
A confused woman Fred wooed over one too many boilermakers named Betty (Vivian Bonnell) comes looking to take him up on his marriage proposal! Betty is bent on getting satisfaction and skeptical of Grady's insisting he's not Fred. When Grady attempts jog her memory and remind her of who Fred really is by giving her a few drinks, it backfires when she leaves, gassed, from the Sanford home and returns with the cops Hoppy and smitty; she then gets so confused she begins mistaking everyone. Grady, Lamont, and the cops, Smitty, and then even Hoppy, who's of the "Caucasian persuasion" as he tells her, for the out-of-town Fred!
