"Fred's Treasure Garden" "A Little Extra Security"

Tower Power was the 74th overall episode of Sanford and Son. Also the 12th episode of Season Four, it first aired December 6, 1974.

Episode synopsis[]

A visit to a gallery of abstract art inspires Fred to create his magnum opus: a towering heap of junk! Fred vows to raise the aesthetic level of his own neighborhood, and to "leave a lasting legacy". The result is a brand-new "Watts Tower," constructed out of the junk in Fred's backyard. When harshly critiqued by Lamont's new girlfriend Sandra (Janee Michelle), who's an art critic, Crushed when told by Sandra, who tries to break the news of her critique gently, to him, Fred dejectedly scraps the project, demolishing it completely; Lamont consoles Fred, reminding him that he, his only child, is his greatest legacy.
