The Party Crasher was the 56th episode of Sanford and Son. Also the 18th episode of the series' third season, it first aired February 8, 1974.
Lamont and Rollo don't want to invite fuddy-duddy Fred to their party with a pair of live-wire women, Angel (Angela Elayne Gibbs) and Della (Della Thomas) from Detroit. When things get off to bad start, in that the girls disprove of the fancy Beaujolais wine (they prefer Ripple!), refreshments such as potato chips and peanuts (they prefer Onion Stew!), Fred pops up, with exactly what the doctor ordered, with the Onion Stew and Ripple (at least for the girls!)
Lamont and Rollo, who are left out in the cold, seeing that "old fuddy-duddy" Fred wins over the "live-wire" girls instead of them, they instead opt to use the two tickets for the Midnight Cruise up Catalina, which they tried to give to Fred when they were trying to use the Sanfords residence to entertain Angel and Della in the first place!!
