The Hawaiian Connection - Part III was the 113th overall episode of Sanford and Son. Also the third episode of Season Six and the second of a two-part story, it first aired on NBC-TV on October 8, 1976.
Episode synopsis[]
Fred and Lamont visit Hawaii tourist attractions while running for their lives from the jewel thieves.
Episode summary[]
In the conclusion of a two-part story, a gang of jewel thieves have planted their stolen gems on Fred, who is in Hawaii to attend a junkman's convention with Lamont, in the guise devised by jewel thief Davis (Sheldon Leonard) and Willis, (Greg Morris) who is well accquainted with the Sanfords, having grown up in the Watts community. Pursued all over Honolulu with the bad guys one step behind him, innocent Fred (who has since "misplaced" the loot) has no idea what is going on -- even with that Hawaii Five-O music playing incessantly in the background. Singer Don Ho makes a guest appearance.
Note: Don Ho makes a cameo appearance on the series. Frank Nelson makes a cameo appearance as an airline pilot.David Huddleston appears as a police detective, James Gregory appears as his Commander, Barbara Rhoades as Gladys, Greg Morris appears as Willis, and Sheldon Leonard appears as Davis. Pat Paulsen appears as Percy, an LAPD officer and temporary partner of Smitty.
