Full synopsis[]

Lamont becomes annoyed that Fred is constantly playing old blues records featuring a band named Blind Mellow Jelly. Lamont (Demond Wilson) convinces Fred (Redd Foxx) to donate his collection of rare jazz records to the library, in hopes of securing a large tax deduction. Then, he finds out the records are rare and could be worth several hundred dollars. Thus, he decides to retrieve them from the library by hook or by crook. Fred's fellow "crook" in this instance is Bubba (Don Bexley), who poses as the son of the late great blues musician.
