Larry J. Blake (April 24, 1914 – May 25, 1982) appeared as Los Angeles City Health Inspector Mr. Watkins in the Sanford and Son episode titled "The Puerto Ricans Are Coming!" in Season 2 of the series. Larry was a veteran stage, film and TV actor from Brooklyn, New York. In 1947 he starred in the film Backlash. Larry is the father of Hollywood actor, film crewman, and makeup artist Michael J. Blake.

Blake was also among the stars of 1953-1954 ABC-TV situation comedy series The Pride of the Family, appearing in the role of Frank. Fay Wray played Catherine Morrison, and Paul Hartman played her husband, Albie Morrison. Natalie Wood and Robert Hyatt played the Morrison children, Ann and Junior. Tol Avery filled the role of Dennison.[1] Blake had a recurring role as the accommodating jailer in the 1958 TV series Yancy Derringer.
