Can You Chop This? was the 101st overall episode of Sanford and Son. Also the 14th episode of Season Five, it first aired on NBC-TV on January 9, 1976.
Fred plans to get rich quick by selling Whopper Chopper food processors, using Lamont's acting school tuition money to make his initial investment.
Shades of "The Handy Housewife Helper" on The Honeymooners! Lamont goes ballistic when he finds that the money he has been saving up for acting lessons has been squandered by his dad, Fred, who has purchased the "Watts franchise" for a kitchen appliance called the "Whopper Chopper". Stuck with dozens of the useless utensils and with no prospect of selling any of them, Fred decides to exact revenge on the TV host who persuaded him to buy the Choppers in the first place.
Note: Danny Wells makes a 2nd appearance as Whopper Chopper salesman/owner Danny Taylor in the role. Paul Harris appears as "Whopper Chopper" salesman Danny Taylor, and Cesare Danova makes an appearance as "The Cavorting Connissuer".
