Aunt Esther Has a Baby was the 122nd overall episode of Sanford and Son. Also the 11th episode of Season Six, it first aired on NBC-TV on December 3, 1976.
Esther and Woody plan to be parents for the first time, but for it to happen Esther is going to need Fred's help.
After years of waiting, Aunt Esther (LaWanda Page) is told that the adoption agency has finally found her a child. Nervously anticipating an interview with the adoption agency, Esther's husband Woody (Raymond Allen) downs a "calmative" -- and as a result, is hopelessly inebriated. Gallant Fred agrees to impersonate Woody when the officials show up.
