Episode synopsis[]
Through a computer error, Grady receives an extra Social Security check by mistake and wastes no time celebrating his windfall, but the wind falls from his sails when he learns Mr. Hastings (Fred D. Scott) from the Social Security office is on his way over to the house! His transgression may prove to be his undoing when a government agent comes calling -- but it turns out that Lamont is Grady's real nemesis. This was one of several Sanford and Son episodes taped while series star Redd Foxx was absent due to a contract dispute.
